The Institute for Healthcare Finance & Management (IHFM) incorporated in February 2013 is the brain child of pioneers in the health insurance industry in Nigeria – Health & Managed Care Association of Nigeria (HMCAN). It is a leading provider of exceptional human capital capacity development programmes and innovative business process support systems and services for the health insurance and managed health care industry across the entire value chain.
The establishment of the Institute was informed by the need to bridge the practice gap created by the dearth of knowledge and relevant competencies within the health insurance and managed care industry. The Institute is a platform for knowledge creation, dissemination and warehousing as well as the building of professional networks in the health care financing and management industry and the larger health sector.
